Here’s a brief rundown about me. I apprenticed in Denver, CO in 1992 at The Emporium of Design. I Managed Route 66 Tattoo in Albuquerque, NM from 1994 to 1999. Later that year I relocated with my family to Washington, where I worked at Lucky Devil Tattoo in Seattle. In late 2000, I founded Tsunami Tattoo in Tacoma, WA. It remained in the same location on 38th Street for 20 years.
In 2021, I decided to take the company in a whole new direction. I wanted to give my clients a more fulfilling experience where I could focus on their projects without the interruptions of a traditional tattoo studio. I wanted to make Tsunami a special place where every client receives 100% of my attention. Tsunami is a safe space. I’ve taken the 30 plus years of being a tattoo artist around the globe - combined with my own experiences of being tattooed - to give my clients a uniquely fun and personal experience.
I am an award-winning tattoo artist and have been featured in numerous publications. My resume speaks for itself. I’ve tattooed members from Guns and Roses to Steve O. I hope you enjoy what I do and the environment I’ve created at Tsunami Tattoo.

I enjoy geometric, ornamental custom projects large and small. I’m trying to build my portfolio of one-of-a-kind designs made for each client. This takes time. I’m very selective about the projects I choose .

While I’m happy to talk to you about your projects, there are a few things I won’t do. I generally won’t finish any large scale tattoos I did not start, such as sleeves or back pieces, etc. Lettering, furry animals, faces, fingers, and clocks.
Plan ahead! We are an appointment-only studio and do not do walk-ins. I require a deposit to schedule and hold your appointment date. Your flexibility determines my availability. I look forward to working with you! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. -Tim
